People & Teams

Manage who has access to your workspace, what they can do, and how they're organized.

Roles

Kamptrix uses four roles with increasing levels of access:

RoleDescription
Agency OwnerFull control over the agency and all workspaces. Can manage billing, delete workspaces, and assign any role.
Agency AdminAdministrative access across all workspaces. Can manage settings, users, and integrations but cannot transfer ownership.
Team MemberStandard access to assigned workspaces. Can work on projects, tasks, forms, and other day-to-day modules.
Client UserLimited access scoped to specific workspaces. Designed for external clients who need visibility into their own projects without seeing agency internals.

Inviting Users

  1. Go to Settings → People & Teams.
  2. Click Invite.
  3. Enter the user's email address.
  4. Select a role.
  5. Choose which workspaces the user should have access to.
  6. Send the invitation.

Invited users receive an email with a link to join. Their access is active as soon as they accept.

Managing Permissions

After a user joins, you can adjust their access at any time:

  • Change role — Promote or demote a user by updating their role from the People list.
  • Workspace access — Add or remove individual workspace access per user. This is especially useful for Client Users who should only see their own workspace.

Teams

Organize members into teams for structured collaboration:

  • Create a team — Give it a name and add members.
  • Mentions — Use @team-name in chat and comments to notify the entire team.
  • Assignments — Assign tasks to a team so any member can pick them up.

Teams are optional — you can manage everything at the individual user level if that fits your workflow better.

Workspace Access Control

For agencies managing multiple client workspaces, per-user workspace access is the key control:

  • Each user can be granted access to one or more workspaces.
  • Client Users typically see only their own workspace.
  • Agency Admins and Owners have cross-workspace access by default.

Review workspace assignments regularly to ensure users only see what they need.
