Agency View vs Workspace View

Kamptrix operates on two levels: the Agency View for cross-client oversight, and the Workspace View for focused single-client work. Understanding the difference between these two modes is key to navigating the platform effectively.

Agency View

Agency View is your high-level command center. It's active when you select "All Clients" in the workspace switcher.

In this mode, you see aggregated data across all your client workspaces:

  • Cross-client task lists — View and filter tasks from every workspace in one place.
  • Combined calendar — See deadlines and events across all clients on a single timeline.
  • Aggregate analytics — Track team utilization, project health, and delivery metrics at the agency level.
  • Client management — Add new workspaces, manage client settings, assign team members, and monitor client health scores.

Agency View is where you go to answer questions like "What's due this week across all clients?" or "Which projects are falling behind?" It's designed for managers and team leads who need visibility without diving into individual accounts.

Workspace View

Workspace View focuses on a single client. It's active when you select a specific client workspace from the switcher.

In this mode, everything you see is scoped to that one client:

  • Client-specific projects — Only the departments, projects, and tasks belonging to this workspace.
  • Dedicated chat channels — Conversations specific to this client's team and work.
  • Workspace settings — Configuration options that apply only to this client (branding, permissions, integrations).
  • Focused calendar — Only events and deadlines relevant to this workspace.

Workspace View is where you go to do the actual work — update tasks, collaborate with teammates on a specific account, and manage deliverables for a single client.

Switching Between Views

The workspace switcher in the top-left corner of the Global Header controls which view you're in:

  • Select "All Clients" to enter Agency View.
  • Select any client name to enter that client's Workspace View.

The switch is instant. All modules (Chat, Calendar, Analytics, etc.) automatically adjust their content based on your selection. You don't need to navigate to a different page — just change the workspace context and the entire interface updates.

The Organizational Hierarchy

Kamptrix organizes work in a clear top-down structure:

└── Departments (logical groupings within a workspace)
└── Projects (discrete bodies of work)
└── Tasks (individual action items)
  • Agency — The top level. Your entire organization and all its client accounts.
  • Workspaces — One workspace per client. Each is an isolated environment with its own data, members, and settings.
  • Departments — Groups within a workspace that organize related projects (e.g., "SEO," "Content," "Paid Media").
  • Projects — Specific initiatives or ongoing engagements within a department.
  • Tasks — The individual units of work. Each task lives inside a project and can be assigned, scheduled, and tracked.

This hierarchy gives you the flexibility to organize work at whatever level of granularity your team needs, while keeping everything cleanly separated between clients.
